Proudest Moment: Developing and launching a strategic comms programme for one Tinderbox client, which included a new website, a suite of presentations and a regular email newsletter. The programme generated an excellent ROI within months, with hundreds of thousands of pounds in sales.

Background: After beginning his career as a journalist at Yorkshire Post Newspapers, Joel Turner made the move into PR and gained experience working at Yorkshire agencies Quest PR and Nexnet. Joel joined Tinderbox Media in January 2010.

Tinderbox’s clients prize Joel’s ability to work across marketing channels. He heads up PR campaigns and works on brand communications strategies for a number of start-ups and established businesses.

As at home with a HTML email newsletter as he is devising strategies for integrated PR programmes, Joel’s flair for getting to grips with a business sector at speed, and communicating a company’s key messages to consumers or other stakeholders, rank amongst his greatest attributes.

Joel’s experience as a PR consultant spans a variety of consumer and corporate accounts. He has worked with everyone from SMEs to charities and social enterprises to multinational corporations.

This reformed Star Wars obsessive once finished runner-up in a Mastermind competition about the films. (At least it wasn’t Twilight.) These days he prefers to spend his spare time skiing, snowboarding and running.
